Canvas is a Web-based learning management system designed to allow students and faculty to participate in classes delivered online. It enables instructors to provide students with course materials, discussion boards, virtual chat, online quizzes, an academic resource center, and more. Instructors may choose to supplement a face-to-face class by including select materials and assessments in Canvas, while others may use Canvas to teach the class entirely online.
