VCU utilizes the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) system to enhance the authentication for most of its systems and applications. In addition to requiring a user name and password, the MFA system will attempt to use an external token, such as a call to a cell phone, an app on a Smartphone, or a hardware token to further ensure the identity of the individual.
